Competitive pricing for power amplifiers

A Link Microtek product story

Two new amplifiers suit broadband wireless access (BWA), 802.16 (WiMAX) and general S-band high power amplifier applications.

Link Microtek, the exclusive representative for TriQuint Semiconductor in the UK and Ireland, has two new amplifiers for broadband wireless access (BWA), 802.16 (WiMAX) and general S-band high power amplifier applications.

The products' high performance, simplified use and highly competitive pricing set them apart in today's broadband marketplace.

Known as the TGA2923-SG and TGA2925-SG, the two new amplifiers deliver output powers of 10 and 5.6W, respectively and provide a variety of performance advantages, including instantaneous bandwidth of 200MHz across any segment of the 3.3 to 3.9GHz band with only two additional external components.

Suitable for both BWA basestation (BTS) and subscriber station (SS) applications, the amplifiers are fabricated using TriQuint's proven 0.5um HFET process, which enables world-class electrical performance and increased environmental robustness under the most demanding operating conditions.

While designed to support the stringent linearity requirements of multicarrier applications, both devices are also capable of delivering high saturated power and PAE.

Both parts are offered in a moulded two-lead, SMT package that is lead-free and RoHS compliant.

The package incorporates internal partial matching to simplify PCB design and a high thermal conductivity copper alloy base to maximise heat removal from the amplifier.
