Module shrinks microwave power
A microwave power module combines a solid-state driver with a vacuum power booster and integrated power conditioner to deliver a typical output power of 60 to 100W from a single compact package.
The devices are used in a variety of military applications, as well as in commercial radar, broadcast transmitters, satellite communications, high-energy physics research and medical applications.
Commenting on the appointment, Link Microtek's Managing Director, Steve Cranstone, said: "The L-3 EDD product range is a brilliant fit for Link Microtek".
"All our directors come from a tube background, so as a company we are steeped in the technology".
"Also, since we already represent L-3's other major RF and microwave companies - Narda Microwave and Narda Safety Test Solutions - we are a known entity to them".
"L-3 EDD can therefore be confident that this will be a very successful partnership".
