TriQuint Semiconductor has released six new amplifiers for millimetre-wave digital radio and satellite ground terminal applications.

Link Microtek, the exclusive representative for TriQuint Semiconductor in the UK and Ireland, has released six new amplifiers for millimetre-wave digital radio and satellite ground terminal applications.

Eliminating the chip-and-wire technology usually associated with millimetre-wave amplifiers, all the new TriQuint devices are packaged, which allows subsystem integrators to simplify assembly and alignment, thereby reducing product complexity and cost.

Four of the new products (TGA4513-CP, TGA4509-SM, TGA4902-SM and TGA4510-SM) are high-performance power amplifiers that are ideally suited to use in the 27 to 31GHz transmit chains utilised in point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and Vsat radio applications.

The fifth and sixth devices, operating in the 17 to 27GHz band, are a power amplifier (TGA4502-SM) and a low noise amplifier (TGA4506-SM).

Fabricated using TriQuint's proven MMW pHEMT process, all these new devices come in low-parasitic, RoHS-compliant lead-free packages, offering customers environmentally friendly products with substantial cost and assembly advantages.
