Link Microtek, the specialist manufacturer and supplier of RF and microwave subsystems and components, has won a contract worth in excess of GBP 1 million from the UK Ministry of Defence for the supply of microwave horn antennas and adapters The contract is the largest that Link Microtek has ever received for in-house manufactured products, and it comes at a time when the company's manufacturing business is already experiencing considerable growth due to buoyant sales in the commercial communications sector

Originally conceived and set up in 1995 as a representative/distributor of RF and microwave components from a variety of predominantly US principals, Link Microtek established an in-house precision-engineering facility two years later.

The company now manufactures a comprehensive range of waveguide hardware and associated products such as horn antennas, adapters, rotary joints, swivel joints, filters, couplers, terminations and TEM cells.

Link Microtek's overall growth continues at a healthy rate as the company moves towards it long-term goal of becoming the dominant supplier of RF and microwave components and subsystems in the UK and Ireland.
