Miniature switches suit VXI RF
instruments
Miniature electromechanical RF switches are designed for use in single-slot VXIbus modules and other applications where space is restricted.
New from RF and microwave component specialist Link Microtek are three series of miniature electromechanical RF switches that have been designed for use in single-slot VXIbus modules and other applications where space is restricted Manufactured by Narda Microwave, the switches are available in a choice of five frequency bands from DC to 26.5GHz and can be specified in dual SPDT (Series 156), multithrow (Series 036-066) or transfer switch (Series 136) configurations

Integrated VCOs pack in more microwave functions
Now available from Link Microtek is a new range of low-cost, plastic-packaged MMIC voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) that feature a high level of integrated functionality.
All types feature SMA connectors and have base dimensions of just 30.2 x 27.8mm, enabling up to six switches to be accommodated in the front panel of a single-slot VXIbus module.
The switches offer excellent RF performance, and Narda's actuator design gives them exceptional long-term reliability, guaranteeing a minimum of 1 million operations with no noticeable degradation in performance.
Suitable for use in ambient temperatures ranging from -35 to +70C, the switches are designed to meet the requirements of MIL-S-3928 and are fully compatible with both military and commercial logic ICs.
