Integrated VCOs pack in more microwave functions
Now available from Link Microtek is a new range of low-cost, plastic-packaged MMIC voltage controlled oscillators (VCOs) that feature a high level of integrated functionality.
The devices operate over the frequency range 2-18GHz, with a switching time of 25ns, a maximum VSWR of 1.8:1 and insertion losses as low as 1.7dB.
Available in a choice of four different models, the switches can be specified with reflective or absorptive operation, SPST or SPDT configuration and a power handling capability of either 200 or 500mW.
All models incorporate reverse-voltage protection for the integral TTL drivers.
Package sizes (excluding connectors) are either 14.98 x 13.46 x 4.83mm or 17.53 x 13.46 x 4.83mm depending on model, and the switches have an operating temperature range of -54 to +95C.
