The MG400 filter system has a low sound level, with a maximum 55dB(A) at 1m, and so there is no noise disturbance in the working area.

Available now from Link Hamson, the MG400 is a new larger mobile filter system with a suction capacity of 400m3/h, making it suitable for connection to up to eight extraction arms The unit's Filtronic filter concept captures soldering pollutants by using the combination of a HEPA microfilter for particulates in combination with a high performance gas separation filter

Users benefit from polluted process gases being fully captured in the filter and a low sound level.

The filters have been developed considering each process step; capture of the polluted air, dwell time in the gas filter to disposal of the used filters.

It's important to eliminate the pollutant gas molecules in the process air, and not just the particulates; so in addition to a HEPA class microfilter with greater than 99.97% DOP, the filters have a deep bed of gas filter media consisting of activated charcoal and chemisorbant to adsorb pollutant gas molecules.

The suction capacity is designed to give optimum air velocity and also dwell time in the filter so as to eliminate pollutants.

If the airspeed is too fast through the filter, then the dwell time is too short to fully capture the gas pollutant gas molecules.

Gas and particulate filters are integrated into one unit to avoid leakage and to keep particles trapped when changing filters.

The filters meet the requirements for clean-room applications and are ESD safe.

The MG400 filter system has a low sound level: in the operator zone it's a maximum of 55dB(A) at 1m so there is no noise disturbance in the working area.

MG filter systems may be connected to a wide range of extraction arms and nozzles which have been designed for optimum capture of polluted air.

The filter systems are mobile, can easily be moved between workstations and are independent from fixed installations.

There is minimal service requirement due to brushless motor technology, long filter lifetime with filter life indicator and low energy consumption.

Reliability and prolonged useful life makes the MG400 a very effective investment.

According to Graham Pennington, Director of Link Hamson: "Since our first introduction of the Filtronic filters, customers have found that the removal of smells and odours from the work area that is achieved by these filters, and their quiet operation, is really remarkable".
