LitePoint Corp has announced design verification test functionally for its IQfact test program family.

LitePoint Corp has announced design verification test functionally for its IQfact test program family It ensures quality and reliability at the all stages of the supply chain for wireless chip makers, device designers and OEMs so that products get created, made and shipped on time and earn optimum profits

Completely validated in partnership with key IC makers, each IQfact DVT program is individually designed to operate with a specific 802.11a/b/g legacy or Wi-Fi MIMO chipset.

It can automatically produce test results for product verification, characterisation, and validation in just hours instead of days of engineering time.

Running on LitePoint IQnxn MIMO test system, IQfact DVT program data logging options generate internal test reports or custom document using MS Excel.

"The IQfact DVT program is a true breakthrough in quality wireless device testing", said Greg Ravenscroft, President/Advanced Development at LitePoint Corporation.

"It can eliminate the trust gaps between chipmakers, product designers, and device makers because now they all can use a methodology that can definitively report on complete parametric measurability over a wide range of operating conditions for the chip, the design and the eventual product".

"This gives each stakeholder the ultimate in supply chain transparency, which will reduce time to market and costs while increasing supply chain goodwill".

"IQfact DVT complements our IQfact production test software offering a common platform from chip creation through wireless device manufacturing".

IQfact DVT test software for design verification applications is a comprehensive set of Wi-Fi physical layer transmitter and receiver tests, covering a large set of channels, datarates, and channel bandwidths.

It supports both 802.11 a/b/g legacy and the latest Wi-Fi MMO parametric tests.

Transmitter tests include power, EVM, frequency error and spectral mask.

Receiver tests include Rx PER profile over a power level range, given power level and at max power.

Test options include all or selected channels, datarates, and bandwidths.

Run-time options include DUT configuration, test flow, test limits and data logging options.

Used directly out of the box or modified to specific needs, it works with the LitePoint API (supplied with the IQnxn MIMO test system) and a supplied special test driver for the Wi-Fi chipset under test to run parametric test which can be optionally compared with test limits.

IQfact DVT joins other available IQfact mass production test programs spanning legacy Wi-Fi chipsets, MIMO Wi-Fi chipsets and Bluetooth chipsets.

IQfact test programs are available in single-user and site-licence versions.

Time-limited demonstration versions are available for customer evaluation.
