Laird Technologies has acquired Antenex, a company that designs and manufactures antennas and accessory products primarily for the US market.

Laird Technologies, the world's leading designer and manufacturer of electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding materials, thermal management products and wireless antenna solutions, has acquired Antenex Antenex designs and manufactures antennas and accessory products primarily for the US market, for applications in communications for the defence, public safety, transportation, satellite and medical sectors

Located in Glendale Heights, Illinois, Antenex and its 90 plus employees have established themselves as a world class supplier to a fast growing market.

"Our related business is organised around support of the OEM channel, while Antenex is more focused on the distributor channel and public safety", says Martin Rapp, CEO of Laird Technologies.

"And the combination of the businesses results in a company with a broader product line and broader channel coverage".
