Fuses go lead-free
Littelfuse has introduced lead-free versions of its axial-leaded 2AG series of subminiature glass fuses, 3AG glass and ceramic fuses, 3AB ceramic fuses and 5 x 20mm glass and ceramic-bodied fuses.
Gas plasma arresters are lead-free
Littelfuse has introduced the lead-free and RoHS compliant SL0902 Series of miniature gas plasma arresters.
Each Polyfuse Series features low voltage drops and fast trip times while providing full resettability.
This makes them ideal for protecting datacomms and battery-powered applications where spikes may occur during interchange of batteries or plug and play.
The SMD0805 Series, which has the industry's smallest footprint for resettable fuses, comprises four hold current ratings from 100 to 500mA with a current interruption capability of 40A at voltages from 6 to15V, making them suitable for high-density circuit board applications in computers, cellular phones and general electronics.
The SMD1206 and SMD1210 Series, with current ratings from 50mA to 1.5A and voltages from 6V to 30V, are optimised for the protection of computer peripherals, PC cards and various I/O port types.
A typical application of the SMD1812 is to protect disk drive capacitors against inrush currents caused by misconnection of 5 and 12V power lines between the disk drive and host computer.
Hold current voltage ratings range from 100mA to 2.6A, with voltages from 6 to 60V and trip times as low as 20ms.
The SMD2016 and 2920 are also designed for use in high-density circuit board applications.
They offer a wide range of hold currents from 300mA to 3.0A and voltages from 6 to 60V.
In addition to SM devices, Wickmann can supply leaded, axial leaded strap and disk type resettable fuses.
