Interface modules simplify system customisation
New from Liantec Systems Corporation, the Tiny-Bus is a modular expansion solution for embedded systems integration.
Each device provides multiple ATX power outputs, including the 3.3, 5, 12, -12 and 5V standby for industrial and consumer PC motherboards.
To meet the power requirement of Intel mobile Pentium M based PC systems, the +12V DC output plays a much more important role than in Pentium-III and Via C3 based platforms.
For mobile Intel Pentium M based systems, the power requirement at +12V is 2.50A at least; and desktop Intel Pentium 4 based systems need much more.
To solve this problem, the Liantec DCM-100 offers 4A and DCM-150 offers 8A on the +12V output to drive embedded Intel mobile Pentium M based systems and other devices.
For car-PC applications, a power convertor needs to support +12 and +24V DC inputs.
The Liantec DCM-100 handles a wide input range from 11.5 to 30.0V DC for most car-PC applications.
Both convertors also provides the ESD and power over/undervoltage protection on all outputs for system protection.
Most USB-based devices use the 5V standby input.
The 5V standby outputs of both the Liantec DCM-100 and DCM-150 offer 8A shared with the +5V power output.
This means system integrators can use the 5V standby power up to 8A for USB-based HDDs, touch panels and other powered USB-based devices.
The Liantec DCM-100 and DCM-150 offer the option of external mini-DIN power jacks and pin headers on their inputs.
The external power jack will be the ideal solution for the space-saving system.
For car-PC and industrial platforms, the internal power pin header allows flexible system configuration.
