Based on the VIA embedded C7-Eden platform, the Liantec EMB-5740 EmBoard includes the VIA PadLock Security Engine to enhance information protection.
The EMB-5740 also features low power consumption, high processing capacity with 400MHz FSB and DDR2 memory, chipset built-in VGA core, bootable High-Speed USB ports, Serial ATA (SATA) interfaces, mini-PCI and a CompactFlash solid state Flash disk socket, all operating from a single +12V DC power supply.
To meet the demands of networking application, the Liantec EMB-5740 EmBoard provides four onboard optional Intel/RTL Gigabit/Fast Ethernet interfaces and one mini-PCI socket for Wi-Fi WLAN expansion.
Using the onboard PCI-based Tiny-Bus modular expansion solution, the EMB-5740 EmBoard can be upgraded to eight Gigabit Ethernet ports, three mini-PCI interfaces or two PCMCIA PC Card expansion slots within the same 5.25in form factor and within 1U of system height.
