Bright showing from long-life LEDs
The Luxeon III is a new high-power 100kh-life LED that generates typical light output of 65 and 80 lumen from a single emitter at 700 and 1000mA operation, respectively.
Each of the new SuperFlux lead-free products has a unique part number and features the same form factor, performance and pricing with full backward compatibility.
New wave-solder profiles must be observed as shown in data sheet DS55 posted at the company's website.
All previous SuperFlux parts remain available to the worldwide market.
Both SuperFlux and SnapLED mid-power LED products from Philips Lumileds have been standard components in automotive lighting assemblies since they were invented by the company (a division of Hewlett Packard at the time) in the 1980s.
They have been the primary light source for centre high-mount brake lamps, tail lamps, rear signal lamps, marker (position) lamps, mirror-signals and other exterior coloured lighting applications on cars and trucks in every geographic region and from virtually every manufacturer.
Philips Lumileds' SnapLED products have always been lead-free and meet the RoHS standards without any changes.
