The LAS 100-TP is a 100A RMS nominal current transducer designed to meet the exacting requirements for current measurements in power electronics.

The LAS 100-TP is a 100A RMS nominal current transducer that runs from a unipolar power supply of 0 to +5V and has been designed to meet the exacting requirements for current measurements in power electronics It can measure currents up to 300A, and combines low price, high performance, compact size, high EMC immunity and high isolation

The LAS series combines two novel features.

First, LEM's Eta technology allows the isolated measurement of all the current forms - impulse, symmetrically periodic, strongly asymmetrical, or DC - that are encountered in power electronics.

It combines the advantages of the well-known principles of "open loop" transducers with those of "compensation" transducers.

Secondly, the use of a programmable ASIC, called PACT (programmable ASIC for current transducer), significantly increases the accuracy of open-loop current transducers.

The use of the latest version of this ASIC offers significant thermal drift improvement for the LAS 100-TP.

With DC or low frequencies, the LAS series transducers work as open-loop current transducers, and with AC as closed-loop transducers.

The current consumption of the LAS transducers is less than 20mA.

Optimising the current transformer effect allows a fast transient response to be achieved.

The LAS 100-TP transducers can accurately follow a dI/dt of up to 100A/us.

As the flux inside the magnetic circuit is virtually zero, no overheating occurs with high-frequency currents.

The LAS series has a current-range to nominal-current ratio of 2.5 to 3, allowing the LAS 100-TP to precisely measure currents up to 300A, for signals with a frequency greater than 1kHz.

The reference point with no primary current is 2.5V, which is half of the supply voltage.

With a variation span of the amplified output signal of 0.625V/IPN, an output voltage of 4.375V is achieved at +300A and 0.625V at -300A.

The LAS 100-TP transducers conform to the EN50178 standard, making them well suited to industrial applications, such as variable speed drives.

LEM Components offers a five-year warranty for each transducer.
