Budget current transducer boasts high accuracy
The ITB 300-S is a low-cost, high-accuracy current transducer, specified for 300A RMS nominal measurements.
The ITB 300-S is a low-cost, high-accuracy current transducer, specified for 300A RMS nominal measurements.
The new model joins LEM's IT current transducer family at a lower price point while offering a level of performance that is only slightly lower than other members of the family.
Linearity is better than 0.001% and overall accuracy at ambient temperature is 0.05%.
Thermal offset drift is very low, at only 1mA/K.
Featuring galvanic isolation, the ITB 300-S can be used for current measurement of any type of waveforms (including DC, AC, mixed and complex).
It has been designed to operate from a bipolar +/-15V DC power supply, and will accommodate a round primary conductor of up to 21.5mm diameter.
In addition to its normal current output (150mA for 300A primary), an additional output indicating the transducer state (opened or closed contacts) is available.
The new model offers an extended operating temperature range of -40 to +85C, compared with the +10 to +50C of the IT models, allowing its use in a wider range of applications, including high precision power supplies, medical equipment, calibration units, precise and high stability inverters, power analysers and metering.
The transducer is CE marked, conforms to the EN50178 and EN50155 standards and is suitable for industrial and traction applications.
LEM Components offers these transducers with a two-year warranty.
