LPRS brings spread spectrum to the masses
Available now from Low Power Radio Solutions, the LX2400 is the first in a new family of ultra-low-cost spread-spectrum radio modules from AeroComm.
Modules are available with a single fixed narrowband operating frequency, and are fully compatible with the Circuit Design CDP02 and CDP03 receivers as well as the STD402 transceiver.
The transmit frequency is digitally stabilised, typically providing a reliable range of better than 500m line of sight.
Four fixed frequencies are available - 433.92 and 434.075MHz in the 434MHz band, and 868.15 and 869.75MHz in the 868MHz band - and further custom frequencies are available for order volumes greater than 5000 pieces per annum.
Ideal for compact battery-powered portable applications such as remote controls and personal alarms, the tiny modules measure just 22 x 16 x 6mm, run from a supply voltage as low as 2.2V and typically consume just 20mA to produce an output power of 10mW at 433MHz or 5mW at 868MHz.
