Available now from Low Power Radio Solutions, the MU-1 is a low power wireless modem for embedded applications The internal CPU controls radio links, communication protocols and baseband processing

Communication is controlled by a simple system of commands, and OEMs only have to implement protocols for transmitting and receiving data.

This allows rapid development of wireless communication systems without extensive RF knowledge, shortens time to market and reduces development costs.

The narrowband MU-1 wireless modem has an output power of 10mW RF at 434MHz with 64 preprogrammed RF channels and offers a maximum IF data speed of 57.6Kbit/s.

Data may be transmitted via various input interface options, such as RS232, USB, LAN etc.

It meets the requirements of the European R and TTE Directive and is CE marked.

Housed within a robust metal case the MU-1 operates over the temperature range -20 to +60C, has dimensions of 50 x 30 x 9mm and weighs 23.5g.

The flexible link ID feature available as standard in the MU-1 modem enables building complex 1:1, 1:N and N:N systems for direct communication, secure redundant systems and networks and up to 10 MU-1s may be configured to relay data over greater distances.

Barry Gillibrand, Managing Director of LPRS comments: "This new wireless modem adds to our existing wide range of low power radio devices and will integrate well with our market leading Easy-Radio philosophy of out-of-the-box wireless connectivity".

Typical applications include industrial telecontrol, remote control for machines and motors, telemetry and monitoring. Request a free brochure from Low Power Radio Solutions ...
