The Airwave range of audio/video wireless RF modules operate on the popular 2.4GHz ISM band and are FCC and R and TTE compliant, making them suitable for worldwide use.

Available now from Low Power Radio Solutions, the Witney UK based wireless systems specialist, the Airwave range of audio/video wireless RF modules operate on the popular 2.4GHz ISM band and are FCC and R and TTE compliant, making them suitable for worldwide use.

The modules can transmit and receive wideband audio or video signals over a range up to 100m.

Compliant with worldwide wireless regulations the modules are also suitable for both Pal and NTSC video formats eliminating the need for separate modules for different markets.

The modules fully integrate audio/video input and output on to one module baseband PCB and no external audio circuitry is required.

Four selectable channels for video or stereo audio are available and the output power is 10mW, 10dBm compliant with European regulations.

The modules are very compact, 30.6 x 28.6 x 3.7mm for the transmitter and 40.64 x 30.68 x 6.00mm for the receiver, with current consumption of 55 and 140mA, respectively, from 5V supplies.

Operating temperature is -10 to +60C, operating frequency range is 2400 to 2483MHz, and a four-channel phase locked loop synthesiser provides frequency selection.

Video input is 1V peak-peak at 75ohm and audio input level is 3V peak-peak.

Barry Gillibrand, Managing Director of LPRS comments: "These new wireless modules provide a simple and convenient means to transmit audio and video signals between equipment for both entertainment and security purposes".

Typical applications include domestic and professional sound or video transmission for home, office or factory use, security systems or public information systems.
