Quantum cascade laser series expands
Laser Components is continuing to expand the wavelength range of its quantum cascade laser series.
Laser Components is continuing to expand the wavelength range of its quantum cascade laser series.
Latest additions are single mode DFB devices emitting at 4.7 and 5.3um, which are the wavelengths for CO and NO detection.
In addition, a multimode version is available at 4.75um.
This wavelength is perfectly suited for many existing infra-red camera systems.
Lasers in the 8-12um range are also available.
Specdilas-Q lasers come mounted on a Peltier cooler and packaged into a TO-8 housing.
Usually they are supplied with a complete, cellphone-sized, laser head called Quanta-OEM including the necessary driver and controller.
Also, such infra-red laser heads can be rented in order to conduct experiments before a purchase.
