Upgrade for intensity modulators
MX-LN-10/20 intensity modulators now come with improved specifications.
MX-LN-10/20 intensity modulators now come with improved specifications The RF control voltage has been reduced to 5V maximum at 10Gbit/s, which provides an average reduction of 20% compared with the previous model
This low control voltage makes the device easier to drive and contributes significantly to its lower power consumption.
In the same time, the chirp parameter of the M-Z modulator has been accurately controlled (sub-0.1) in order to guarantee a nominal power penalty of 1.2dB for 850ps/nm at 10Gbit/s, regardless of the selected slope of the transfer function.
In terms of stability and reliability, accelerated ageing carried out at 120C during more than 200 hours shows a bias-voltage deviation of less than 1V and optical excess loss lower than 0.5dB.
