Red VCSEL is a first
Laser Components has released the market's first 665nm red vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL).
Laser Components has released the market's first 665nm red vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) Housed in a TO46 package, the red 665nm has a low operating current of 3mA, with optical output power of typically 0.5mW, has the ability to be modulated at very high frequencies, a circular output beam with low divergence, and can be tested at the wafer level, making it suitable for applications requiring small compact diodes and low operating currents, such as portable scanners
They are also ideal for low cost high-speed communications over plastic optical fibre, such as in automotive and fibre-to-the home applications.
