LSI Logic has recruited Jeff Hoogenboom to be Executive Vice President, LSI sales Upon successful close of the upcoming merger with Agere Systems, Hoogenboom will lead the networking, consumer and storage peripheral sales teams

He reports to Abhi Talwalkar, LSI Logic President and Chief Executive Officer.

Hoogenboom joins LSI from Intel Corporation where he last served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Embedded Sales Group.
In this capacity he led the worldwide sales and marketing organisation responsible for the Flash, Embedded CPUs, and Communications products.
During his 18-year career at Intel, Hoogenboom also served as Vice President and General Manager of the reseller channel organisation and managing sales director of key OEM (original equipment manufacturer) regions.
He also has extensive experience in marketing, product line management, and manufacturing engineering.
Hoogenboom received a bachelor's of science degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
