In 2007, IDC estimates that SAS HDD (hard disk drive) shipments to enterprise storage and server applications will be more than triple those of 2006.
This year IDC predicts that SAS will achieve 26 % enterprise market share, out-shipping all other drive interfaces.
LSI combines IC expertise with SAS leadership to provide OEM customers with a time to market advantage.
All LSI SAS IC products use the Fusion- MPT (message passing technology) architecture to simplify OEM design and deployment.
LSI offers the industry's broadest portfolio of SAS storage solutions, addressing the SAS infrastructure at every level.
In addition to ICs, LSI currently is shipping SAS products in volume including, host bus and MegaRAID adapters, RAID-on-motherboard (ROMB) solutions and storage systems.
