RAID-on-chip device finds home in server
Fujitsu Siemens Computers Primergy servers will incorporate a range of hardware- and software-based SAS/SATA products from LSI.
Fujitsu Siemens Computers has selected LSI MegaRAID and Integrated RAID (IR) Serial Attached SCSI (SAS)/Serial ATA (SATA) data protection technology across its next-generation mono and dual socket Modular RAID Primergy family of servers Fujitsu Siemens Computers Primergy servers will incorporate a range of hardware- and software-based SAS/SATA products from LSI, including an eight-port modular RAID-on-chip device to provide customers with high-performing server and storage subsystem solutions that meet critical performance and data redundancy requirements

Fujitsu Siemens Computers' new line of modular RAID Primergy rack and tower servers provide customers the flexibility of selecting host CPU-based RAID 0, 1, 10 and 5 for SATA hard disk drives (HDDs); LSISAS1068E-based integrated RAID 0, 1 and 1E for SAS and SATA HDDs; or LSI SAS1078 ROC-based RAID 0, 1, 10, 5 and 6 for SAS and SATA HDDs.
