Ferguson takes Luna to the West

Luna Technologies has hired Reed Ferguson as US Western Regional Sales Manager.

Luna Technologies has hired Reed Ferguson as US Western Regional Sales Manager.

In his new position, Ferguson will concentrate on the sales and distribution of Luna's OVAs, groundbreaking systems that use laser interferometry to test optical components over their full range in less than 8 seconds.

Ferguson's territory will include areas with a high concentration of optical manufacturing companies such as California's Silicon Valley/San Jose region, and greater Los Angeles.

Ferguson brings a breadth of sales and management experience in the optical testing and measurement arena to Luna.

After receiving his BS in finance from George Mason University, Ferguson joined Fiber-Conn Assemblies as a Regional Sales Engineer where he acquired a solid background in fibre optics.

He then worked for Rifocs Corp as Central Regional Sales Manager, where he focused on the sale of test and measurement equipment and high-reliability optical cable assemblies to the commercial and military sectors.

Most recently, as Exfo's Western Regional Sales Manager, Ferguson formed and led direct- and alternate-channel sales teams, resulting in the highest revenue-growth in the company's history.

Ferguson also holds a Juris Doctorate from George Mason University.
