For any company working in the short range device (SRD) industry, this year's conference is a 'must'.
Keynote speakers are Mark Bogers from the EU Commission, Soren Hess, chairman of the ECC SRD Maintenance Group, and Bob Barron of the Radiocommunications Agency.
By bringing together all of the stakeholders involved in SRD standards and regulation making, Radio Solutions presents conference delegates with a unique opportunity to raise the industry's hottest issues.
Mike Brookes, LPRA chairman comments: "Radio Solutions provides a unique forum for regulators to see the wide range of SRD products for which they are producing the 'rules' and to interact with the manufacturers, mainly small and medium sized enterprises, allowing both sides to appreciate the difficulties and opportunities that this growing market sector presents.
If there is one event the low power radio industry should attend this is the one".
Hot topics for discussion will include the UK Government's plans to permit public networks in deregulated spectrum and the potential problems posed for SRDs by powerline telecommunications.
The LPRA is currently sponsoring the introduction of RFID in the UHF 865-868MHz band through ETSI which will have its own stand at the exhibition to show how new European radio standards are produced.
The full conference programme and full exhibitor information can be found on the LPRA website.
In addition, and running in parallel with the conference on 30th October is the one-day radio design course, one of the best-respected RF courses currently available.
