One stop shop for compliance testing
Mead Testing has been open for business for more than a year, and has started to build a loyal customer base.
Charles obtained an MSc in EMC from Hull University in 1992 and has lectured in the UK and North America on EMC phenomena, design mitigation techniques and EMI prediction methodology.
Says Charles: "We need to offer our customers the differentiated value of 'front end' EMC engineering where EMC is designed in to a new product at the 'concept ready' or drawing board stage of a programme.
With the increasing pressure of reduced TTM and the need to achieve a 'right-first-time' design, costly PCB and enclosure redesign/retest cycles must be minimised.
By carrying out an EMC de-risk assessment at programme inception, the majority of candidate EMI issues can be identified and design solutions implemented.
The use of first principles EMC modelling and EMC simulation software such as Flo-EMC will greatly increase the probability of a successful EMC design.
I believe that this service will be of significant benefit to our customers".
