Although only active in Japan for three years, over 10% of Micralyne's revenue now comes from that market.
Thanks to Japan's vast industrial base, even more growth is expected in the coming years.
In particular, the country's massive automotive, industrial control and telecommunications industries are all expected to drive demand for MEMS-based components.
Many aspects of Micralyne's success in Japan can be attributed to its partnership with Adamant Kogyo, an established technology company which serves as Micralyne's business partner in Asia.
Adamant manufactures components for optical communications, semiconductors, video and medical equipment and has been in operation since 1957.
Adamant has built a solid foundation serving the electronics industry throughout Asia and its reputation has been a precursor of Micralyne's success.
"Micralyne's relationship with Adamant has allowed us to bridge the communication and cultural barriers that sometimes arise between companies operating both in Japan and North America", stated Chris Lumb, President and CEO of Micralyne.
