One of the smallest snap-action switches in the Matsushita Electric Works range is the ultraminiature AV4 switch In its smallest guise, the AV4 measures 7.5 x 2.5 x 4.5mm and weighs just 2g but is still capable of switching loads from 0.1 to 0.5A at 30V DC

This small lightweight design makes this switch ideal for space critical applications such as computer peripherals, cameras and car stereos.

For increased design flexibility the AV4 switch is available in a total of 24 different variations.

These include straight, angle and reverse angle terminal configurations for PCB mounting, and a solder terminal type.

In addition, three different actuator types are available (pin plunger, hinge lever and simulated roller lever) with a choice of gold or silver contact material.

Each AV4 switch has an estimated life span of a minimum of 300,000 operations and features impressive shock and vibration characteristics.
