Relay range adds low zero cross option

A Panasonic Electric Works UK product story

Phototriac couplers promise reliable switching up to 600V AC/100mA.

Panasonic Electric Works has produced a wide variety of APT phototriac couplers for reliable switching up to 600V AC/100mA.

The APT relay range has now been extended with the so-called "low zero cross" version.

Here the threshold voltage of the APT relay was reduced to a maximum of 15V so that the switching time of the relay is dramatically reduced allowing undesired spurious signals to be substantially reduced.

The variety of relay housings range from the very compact SOP4 to DIP/SMD 4 or 6 with optionally extended pin distances.

With these wide terminal types air and leakage paths are in adherence to the 8mm IEC335 standard.

Depending on the type of housing the isolation voltage of the devices are either 3750V AC (SOP4) or 5000V AC (DIL/SMD).
