Micro-Robotics will demonstrate new CAN protocol and IDE software for its VM-1 credit-card-sized control computer on Stand 416 at Instrumentation Southern.

Micro-Robotics, the Cambridge based manufacturer of custom and off-the-shelf embedded control systems, will demonstrate new CAN protocol and IDE software for its VM-1 credit-card-sized control computer on Stand 416 at Instrumentation Southern Also on display at the Madejski Conference Centre, Reading on 5th and 6th October will be the new Micro-Robotics starter kit, display application boards, development kits and industrial I/O interface cards designed to work with the VM-1 controller run by the company's proprietary, object oriented Venom-SC software

The VM-1 has proved extremely popular since its introduction in 2002 and has been subject to a continual development programme.

Among the enhancements have been: a low speed version with a 75% reduction in power consumption, a full range of TCP/IP protocols, a QVGA LCD and touch screen driver, an Ethernet interface and, most recently, IDE software and a low-level CANbus interface.

These developments have made the system suitable for an ever-increasing range of applications.

The Micro-Robotics starter kits allow fast turn-around of embedded system development and provide everything required to create a VM-1 application including VM-1 controller, application boards, keypad, Venom-SC language, power supply, serial lead and full documentation including a 160 page tutorial guide.

The new kit supports the Ethernet interface and QVGA LCD and touch screen driver. Request free introductory details about products from Micro-Robotics ...
