Liquid cooling boosts system reliability
Liquid-cooled ATR chassis is based on a field-proven air-cooled design that is already in service across numerous different fighting platforms.
Ruggedised COTS versions are available for military computer telephony applications that offer significant cost savings over traditional MIL-Spec enclosures.
Special consideration has been given to enclosure system functionality and front accessibility of all plug-in/hot-swap units is a key feature.
Up to three 600W hot-swap and redundant power supplies that plug directly into the backplanes can be accommodated along with the hot-swap fan trays, all are fully accessible from the front of the unit.

Liquid-cooled chassis raises thermal efficiency
Dual-wall liquid-cooled design provides ATR chassis with a thermal budget of up to 1500W, enabling the latest boards to run well within their operating temperature envelope.
Composite transportable electronic enclosures
Mektron Systems has introduced a range of transportable electronic enclosures and transit cases designed specifically to protect valuable equipment during transportation.
Mektron Systems has incorporated many beneficial features into the design of these enclosures and has abundant additional options available for user flexibility, including PSU, temperature and fan-fail monitoring and alarm generation, SCSI hot-swap mass storage devices and numerous drive bay options.
As well as the standard two- to eight-slot, plus multiple, CompactPCI backplanes there is a 21-slot multiple master backplane option, H.110CT backplane options, rugged options and redundant backplane options.
There is up to 100mm cabinet/rack inset mounting capability to allow for front panel cabling and the card frame for the 80mm rear I/O transition area is designed for the full 21 slots.
All these features enable easy access and rapid mean time to repair (MTTR).
These CompactPCI enclosures are designed for NEBS/ETSI and IEEE1101.10/11 compliance and the rugged sheet aluminium EMC construction exceeds the requirements of EN55022, EN50082 and FCC pt 15.
The latest EMC design principles and practices are employed thereby guaranteeing an inherently good EMC performance.
They also incorporate Mektron's own innovative and patented "Crush-Fold" technology that provides greatly enhanced strength and rigidity and superior EMC performance with minimal fastener count and enhanced aesthetics.
Mektron Systems has full BS EN ISO9001 accreditation.
