Memory Plus has launched the Origin memory brand, which encompasses all memory solutions that are not sold for a specific target application and are supplied in OEM volumes.

Jon Blows, Managing Director said: "The Origin memory brand will allow us to target the system builder and OEM accounts that require a more competitive level of service offering".

At the same time the company is announcing the launch of its online e-commerce site, www.memorydeal.com.

The trade-only site requires password entry and allows resellers and system builders to shop online at any time.

Memorydeal includes the Discovery and MemoryGold memory configurator that enables subscribers to search the 12,000 unique part codes to find the guaranteed solution for their target application.

The site also includes online support, installation guides and serves as a community platform for like-minded computer trade professionals.

Dave Flack, Marketing Director says: "The implementation of memorydeal.com is essential to position Memory Plus as an e-commerce enabled trader.

The platform has been developed to enable the secure transaction, either on account or credit card, of upgrade solutions".
