Mentor supports TI DSPs and MCUs
Mentor Graphics is the first to reach agreement with Texas Instruments to deliver coverification processor support packages (PSPs) for Texas Instruments DSP and microcontroller solutions.
As a corporate member of OSCI, Mentor Graphics will participate in OSCI's steering committee and board of directors to help establish the organisation's priorities and direction.
In addition, as the Mentor Graphics representative, Michael Bohm will collaborate with other members in technical working groups to determine future developments of System C and OSCI specifications.
Bohm began his career designing semiconductors and for more than ten years has been involved with EDA tools, specialising in behavioural and logic synthesis.
"Mentor Graphics has already been exploring the best applications of high-level design languages and as a member of OSCI we will lend our support to efforts to develop System C as a viable language for the next generation of designs", said Bohm.
"We believe our expertise in simulation and synthesis will be valuable to the organisation in further exploring the issues surrounding System C implementation".
