Mentor upgrades wiring harness design suite
Mentor Graphics has upgraded its Capital H wire harness engineering software, used primarily by the automotive and aerospace industries.

New product features and enhancements go through a rigorous review by Mentor Graphics quality assurance team before proceeding to field-testing.
After they are proven in field-testing, the new features and enhancements are incorporated into the next Service Pack, on a "release as completed" basis.
For example, Service Pack updates have included functionality such as dynamic plane generation in RE, automatic net compression and jumper support.
Service Pack updates are designed to provide rapid deployment of new features and enhancements to maximise return on investment for customers.

Service Packs allow us to provide customers with new features as soon as they have been field tested, instead of making customers wait for the next major product release", said Henry Potts, general manager and vice president, Systems Design Division, Mentor Graphics.
