Mentor supports TI DSPs and MCUs
Mentor Graphics is the first to reach agreement with Texas Instruments to deliver coverification processor support packages (PSPs) for Texas Instruments DSP and microcontroller solutions.
The programme enables engineers to enhance technical skills and gain experience in the use of leading-edge technologies for programmable logic design, printed circuit board (PCB) design and integrated circuit design and verification.
Explains Ian Black, European Director, Knowledge Products Division, Mentor Graphics Europe: "If you've been made redundant in such a tough market the key point of this programme is boosting the breadth of your skills to expand your suitability for the widest possible number of new jobs.
Many high end projects use Mentor Graphics EDA tools and it's good for the employer to know that a candidate has trained recently on the Mentor toolset and can slot straight into the team." Candidates for the programme must meet terms and conditions to qualify for attendance.
As a guideline students should have a bachelor's or master's degree in electronic engineering or comparable design experience.
Specific courses may have additional prerequisites.
Most courses are available year-round and have a limited number of seats.
Where courses are full candidates will go on a waiting list for the next available opening.
