Acquisition boosts packaging expertise
Mentor Graphics has acquired the assets of DDE-EDA, a Denmark-based supplier of advanced packaging solutions for the telecommunications, automotive, military and aerospace industries.
Mentor Graphics has acquired the assets of DDE-EDA, a Denmark-based supplier of advanced packaging solutions for the telecommunications, automotive, military and aerospace industries The deal provides Mentor with technology and additional expertise in multichip modules, hybrid, radio frequency, integrated circuit package, embedded component and direct chip attach design
As well as supporting DDE-EDA's existing products for their installed base, Mentor Graphics' Systems Design Division will integrate this technology into the Board Station and Expedition solutions to provide Mentor's worldwide customers with advanced packaging capabilities.
Engineering of this technology will remain in Denmark.
Sales and support of the technology will be through Mentor Graphics' worldwide direct sales channel and customer support organisations.
