A call for papers has been issued.
The deadline for submitting topic proposals is 30th November 2005.
Actively participating in the 'Trends and Future Requirements in Automotive Electronics' symposium at Electronica and ProductronicaChina offers automotive electronics experts from all over the world an attractive opportunity to present their companies' innovative solutions to broads sections of the Chinese automotive electronics sector.
Proposals for specialised presentations on the above-mentioned topics and on other closely related subject areas can be submitted to the committee until 30th November 2005.
The committee is interested in receiving exclusive presentations - in other words, only papers that have not yet been published or submitted elsewhere will be accepted.
General or application-specific submissions on advances in the development and application of automotive electronics, on analysis or empirical evaluation or on the further development of theoretical foundations qualify for consideration.
The topical proposals should be sent in the English or Chinese language with an English abstract (100 to 150 words with 3 to 5 key words in pdf or doc format) by email to youhuax@163.com or epc1@mmi-shanghai.com.
Authors will be notified by 25th December 2005 if their proposal has been accepted.
The deadline for submitting the final presentations is 15th January 2006.
This English-language symposium is the interdisciplinary forum for the basic topics in automotive electronics.
Among others, the following subject areas will be covered: trends in automotive development; energy management and environmental protection; design challenges and solutions for hybrid and electric vehicles; the new fuel cell technology; Technologies for passive and active safety; telematics and infotainment; technologies for body electronics and for networks control; and semiconductor technologies for vehicle electronics.
Besides the Chair, Professor Yin from Shanghai Jiaotong University, the members of the symposium committee, which ensures a high level of quality for the presentations, includes representatives from key players from the automotive electronics segment in China and around the world, such as Infineon Technologies, Siemens VDO Shanghai, Freescale Semiconductor, Volkswagen Group and the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI).
It is certain that there will be strong participation in the 'Trends and Future Requirements in Automotive Electronics' symposium, because Electronica and ProductronicaChina with PCIM China is considered the most important national platform for manufacturers and suppliers of electronics components and electronics production technology in China.
In 2006, besides the automotive symposium, additional attractive application-oriented conferences are planned in conjunction with the trade show.
These include the 'Mobile Communication IC Design Symposium', the 'Flat Information Display Conference (FPD) China 2006 - Display Technologies', and the executive roundtable 'China Electronics Summit'.
