MGE UPS Systems has entered into a strategic alliance with Knurr, the German specialist in racks and enclosure systems for the telecommunications, computing and electronics markets.
This alliance enables MGE and Knurr to provide customers with a new solution, Trillenium, which incorporates best-in-class rack enclosures integrated with scalable cooling systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) and other power availability solutions.
"Knurr's award-winning network rack systems complement perfectly with our advanced UPS systems providing IT customers and resellers with the best of both worlds - power protection and power availability integrated within the rack to meet the most demanding mission-critical needs with optimal ease and efficiency", says MGE UPS Business Development Director, Shri Karve.
Together, Knurr and MGE are taking integrated network rack solutions to the next level".
Knurr's Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Kris Holla added: "Our alliance with MGE will help us address the increasing need for room and rack-level power availability within today's evolving data centres.
MGE's comprehensive power system offerings and global reach are ideally suited to enhance our product portfolio for technology-intensive environments".
Available in three power ratings ranges, 1 to 12, 12 to 120 and over 120kVA to cater for the needs of small, medium and large enterprises, the Trillenium solution features a modular UPS system, racks to suit all customer configurations, and scalable cooling systems, both active air systems for loads up to 6kW and liquid-based for new types of loads such as blade servers up to 20kW.
The Trillenium solution's UPS systems are fully compatible with diesel generator sets, which reduce their ratings by 20%.
Significant cost savings can be made with solutions with over ten racks because of a centralised UPS system that eliminates the need for raised floors and simplifies supervision, maintenance and implementation.
Additionally, liquid cooled racks reduce required floor space by 80% and operating costs by up to 40%.
Security elements, such as temperature, humidity and open door sensors, access control and Enterprise Power Manager, a software tool for managing UPS and networked racks, prevent disruptive downtime and ensure low operating costs.
Shri Karve concludes: "From the initial design and implementation through to management and upgrading, MGE and Knurr offer a complete range of value-added services to support customers throughout the entire lifecycle of the Trillenium solution".
"Highly-trained experts can assist customers in the design of the optimal electrical architecture, carry out efficient, seamless installation and provide management and remote monitoring including 24/7/365 rapid response to emergencies".
"Additionally, customers can rely on MGE and Knurr to execute performance upgrades and replace units without downtime ensuring the Trillenium solution is efficient and cost effective to own".
