Nanocrystalline cores suppress inverter harmonics
A new range of large nanocrystalline cores made of Nanoperm are available with a novel stadium-shaped geometry or in round shapes with up to 300mm outer diameter.
The products are used in all kinds of inductors, such as storage chokes, PFC inductors and output chokes, as well as in power transformers.
Magnetec plans to work with customers to design and provide tailor-made copper-wound versions of Metglas components in accordance with specific requirements.
Such inductors and chokes can be manufactured at facilities in Eastern Europe or India.
The key advantage Metglas products offer the user is the fact that the components are much smaller than those produced with powder materials.
This latest addition to the Magnetec range means that the company can now provide its customers not just with a high level of competence in applications technology, but also with a full range of high-performance magnetic inductive components for use in modern power electronics.
