World's simplest buck regulator boosted to 2A
Micrel has boosted the output capability of the industry's simplest surface-mount DC/DC switching convertor to 2A while retaining the device's original SO-8 packaging.
Dual and triple 135MHz low-power op amps
Consuming just 2.4mA per op amp, the MIC915 dual and MIC916 triple op amps extend Micrel's premier family of high-speed, low-power op amps for power-sensitive high-speed applications.
They are ideal solutions for powering low-voltage ICs where real estate is limited but performance requirements are high", said John McGinty, senior product marketing engineer.
Manufactured by Micrel in S-Pak packaging, the 3A MIC3730X LDOs provide 1.5, 1.8 or 2.5V from a minimum supply of 2.25 or 3.0V.
All devices in the family feature a dropout of 500mV over all conditions.
The MIC37300 is a three-terminal device, offering application simplicity and high performance.
The MIC37301 includes an error flag to warn of fault conditions, and the device provides an enable pin for on/off control.
The MIC37302 offers the added benefit of an adjustable output voltage as well as on/off control of the output voltage.
All devices in the MIC3730X family are uCap designs, offering stability when driving high capacitance loads.
The uCap capability permits the devices to use either tantalum capacitors or smaller, less expensive ceramic capacitors.
When purchased in a quantity of 1000, pricing starts at $2.70.
Samples are available, and production quantities are stock to 8 weeks ARO.
