Mindready ties in with Green Hills

Mindready Solutions is to integrate its IEEE1394 SedNet Pro stack and high-level protocols with Green Hills Software's Integrity RTOS and Multi 2000 integrated development environment.

Mindready Solutions has joined Green Hills Software's Third Party Programme, and will integrate its IEEE1394 SedNet Pro stack and high-level protocols with Green Hills Software's Integrity real time operating system and Multi 2000 integrated development environment.

Mindready will be present at the Software Technology Conference in Salt Lake City, to meet with major military and defence players such as the Department of Defense (DoD) and introduce this advanced integrated real-time communications solution to their software developers.

Mindready's IEEE1394 SedNet Pro stack and high-level IP-over-1394 protocol deliver versatile, cost-effective IEEE1394 connectivity.

SedNet Pro is a software module that provides embedded systems with direct access to the IEEE1394 bus.

The IP-over-1394 protocol enables developers to create high-speed transfer links without changing a line of the original software code.

Green Hills Software's Multi 2000 IDE, optimising C/C++ compilers and Integrity real-time operating system, along with the Green Hills Probe, make it easy to build and deploy mission-critical, royalty-free applications for high-performance microprocessors.

Multi features a window-oriented text editor, RTOS-aware source-level debugger, graphical program builder, run-time error checker, version control system, and performance profiler, as well as an instruction set simulator that allows programmers to develop and test their code on a PC or workstation without the need for the target hardware.

Integrity is a secure, fast, deterministic, real-time operating system optimised for embedded applications that place a premium on reliability, real-time performance, and testability.

It is tightly integrated with Multi and EventAnalyzer, which gives the programmer a system-level view of application and RTOS events.

Designed for use in embedded systems, Mindready's SedNet Pro Stack and IP-over-1394 protocol are integrated with Green Hills Software's Integrity real-time operating system (RTOS) to enable seamless operation of the Integrity network stack on the 1394 bus, enabling complete interoperability with electronic devices such as hard drives, DVD players, scanners and industrial digital cameras.
