Amplifier boasts high dynamic range

A Mimix Broadband product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Mar 20, 2006

A high-dynamic-range amplifier covers applications operating within the 0.25 to 3.0GHz frequency range.

Mimix Broadband has developed a high-dynamic-range amplifier designed for applications operating within the 0.25 to 3.0GHz frequency range.

This amplifier achieves 41dBm OIP3 and 2.1dB noise figure, with a gain of 14.5dB.

The device is packaged in a low-cost, space efficient, surface mount SOT-89 package that provides excellent electrical stability and low thermal resistance.

All devices are 100% RF and DC tested for guaranteed performance.

This high dynamic range amplifier, identified as CMM6004-SC, is an ideal solution for transmit and receive functions where high linearity is required.

The amplifier has the flexibility of being optimised for a number of wireless applications.

The combination of low noise figure and high IP3 at the same bias point makes it an ideal solution when used in applications including cellular and personal communications service (PCS), multichannel multipoint distribution systems (MMDS), and wireless LAN (WLAN).

"As a key supplier to the mobile infrastructure, CATV, defense and homeland security markets, the CMM6004-SC is yet another example of how through innovation and design, Mimix continues to support the growing needs of our valued customers".

"The combination of high linearity, low noise figure and low thermal resistance that the CMM6004-SC offers makes it an excellent addition to our expanding portfolio of devices that cover a broad range of frequencies and applications", stated Damian McCann, CTO of Mimix Broadband.

Engineering samples and production devices are available today from stock.

Technical support is also available from Mimix's applications engineers.
