McCann has more than 20 years of experience in microwave and millimetre-wave component development, device modelling and design.
Before joining Mimix, McCann was Vice President of Advanced Marketing and Technology for Celeritek, where he led strategic planning efforts, identified target market opportunities and, as leading technologist, worked closely with engineering teams.
During his tenure at Celeritek, McCann successfully secured key orders, grew the company's customer base by 1100%, and captured 14% of the relevant market share.

Mimix Broadband has a new line of highly linear gallium arsenide (GaAs) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) power amplifiers, covering the 13 to 40GHz frequency bands.
Prior to Celeritek, McCann advanced to Principal Engineer at GEC Plessey/Marconi Electronic Products, UK.
McCann holds a Certificate Degree in marketing from UCSC, Santa Clara, and graduated from Queens University of Belfast, N Ireland with a BSc (Hons) in electrical and electronic engineering.
Dr Jim Harvey continues to play an instrumental role at Mimix as CTO Emeritus.
John McCarthy joins Mimix as Senior Vice President Sales, with extensive experience in semiconductor markets worldwide, and a background that includes analogue, RF, wireless and custom/ASIC.
McCarthy comes to Mimix from Peregrine Semiconductor, a company he made a qualified supplier to Motorola, Scientific Atlanta, Qualcomm, HP and others.
Additionally, he led Peregrine to a Tier 1 supplier status with Richardson Electronics.
McCarthy previously held leadership roles at IBM and Harris, and has a BSEE from the University of Nebraska.
Donald P Mathes, Vice President Operations, has over 30 years of experience managing a broad range of semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing operations in the USA and worldwide.
From 2000 to 2003, Mathes designed, built and ramped to production a world class semiconductor-manufacturing facility for a startup wafer foundry in Taiwan.
Today, the company is the first pure-play 6in GaAs wafer foundry in the world.
Mathes' background spans everything from proposal preparation to contract administration, procurement to master scheduling, and resource budgeting to facilities expansion.
He holds an MBA and a BS in business management from California Polytechnic University, Pomona.
