An 18 to 21/36 to 42GHz GaAs pHEMT active doubler comes in a 7x7mm surface mount QFN package and is RoHS compliant.

Mimix Broadband introduces today an 18 to 21/36 to 42GHz GaAs pHEMT active doubler offered in a 7 x 7mm surface-mount QFN package that is RoHS compliant Identified as the XX1001-QK, this device delivers +25dBm output power, has excellent fundamental rejection of 50dBc and offers the added feature of gain control

The device combines an active doubler with an input buffer amplifier and a four-stage power amplifier and provides a solution for a variety of applications, including microwave, point-to-point radio, VSAT, E-band radio, automotive and satellite communications.

"This unique SMT packaged active doubler can be operated in a saturated power mode or can be backed off for linear applications", says Paul Beasly, Product Manager, Mimix Broadband "The XX1001-QK also has the added feature of gain control through adjusting the bias parameters, making it a very versatile product that also simplifies the design effort and reduces the costs for our customers for applications at 36-42GHz".
