SMT packaged four-stage GaAs MMIC linear power amplifier is ideal for wireless communications applications such as point-to-point radio, LMDS, satcom and Vsat applications

Mimix Broadband has released an SMT packaged four-stage GaAs MMIC linear power amplifier with +35dBm OIP3 and 23dB small signal gain.

The XP1031-QK covers 37 to 42GHz and comes in a high performance, RoHS compliant, 7 x 7mm SMT package, offering excellent RF and thermal properties.

This device is ideal for wireless communications applications such as point-to-point radio, LMDS, satcom and Vsat applications and can be used in conjunction with Mimix's XR1008-QB receiver and XU1006-QB transmitter to form a complete SMT 38GHz transceiver solution.

"Our latest design of a highly linear 38GHz packaged power amplifier completes the transmit portion of a typical linear radio and, together with our integrated XR1008-QB receiver and XU1006-QB transmitter, forms the industry's first full SMT 38GHz integrated chipset", says Damian McCann, CTO, Mimix Broadband.

"Excellent performance and ease of integration give our customers greater design control in a spectrum traditionally dominated by die-level or single function packaged parts".
