Today, NEC Electronics' MIPS-based single-chip offerings are shipping to market in a wide range of digital consumer products, such as PVRs and DVD/HDD combination recorders.
The uPD61175 series offers an MPEG A/V decompression engine, graphics bit BLT/ display engine, stream processing engine and other peripherals on a single chip LSI.
Together with a unified memory bus design, the chips enhance the consumer experience by delivering MPEG content to audio and video applications.
