Corrent's implementation of the MIPS32 4Kc core in the security processor is expected to result in a 25% increase in VPN throughput for Corrent's cryptographic library and functions for AES, Secure Hashing, RSA and Elliptic Curves Cryptography (ECC).
"Corrent's proven technology provides both small and large enterprises with superb network security processing", said Jack Browne, MIPS Technologies' Vice President of Worldwide Sales.
