Custom video chip specialist Huaya Microelectronics has licensed the MIPS32 4Kc SMIC 0.18um hard core to develop innovative digital television products for the China market.

Custom video chip specialist Huaya Microelectronics has licensed the MIPS32 4Kc SMIC 0.18um hard core to develop innovative digital television (DTV) products for the China market.

"The MIPS architecture is well known and respected in China", said Biao Zhang, HuayaMicro's CEO.
