Made from a nanocrystalline ribbon of Imphy alloys, nanocrystalline toroidal cores from Mecagis have specific advantages for use in power transformers.

Made from a nanocrystalline ribbon of Imphy alloys, nanocrystalline toroidal cores from Mecagis have specific advantages for use in power transformers Magnetic properties include: low losses (from 1 to 200kHz); high saturation induction (1.2T); and high working temperatures (up to 150C)

Cores are available with heights from 5 to 60mm, with a large range of dimensions (up to 200mm external diameter), and with options of toroidal and ellipsoidal shapes.

Cores can be produced to meet specific application requirements.

Widely used in railway applications, power transformers made using Mecagis nanocrystalline cores are two to three times lighter than equivalent ferrite-cored power transformers.
